Mass Effect is out! People love and love to hate it. It’s all nitpicking. People have short memories. I wish people would understand that Mass Effect games have always had weird facial animation. The festivities begins! Plus, why I hate timed exclusives

timed exclusives

Today’s Episode

Happy Holidays everyone! It’s a great time of year. However, timed exclusives are the worst! They the scrooge of the gaming industry. I think it’s dumb and publishers need to stop doing them. Just launch everything at the same time. I do not like this update is only going to be on platform A for X number of days. It does seem publishers are saying to not buy it on the platform you prefer. I say, “no more!” Anyways, I do like the festive updates that are coming to Hitman, Overwatch and others. Keep it coming!

Deus Ex

Today’s Episode

Two of the most anticipated games came out this month. Deus Ex and No Man’s Sky. They were talked about with enthusiasm. However, reality has set in and people are not happy about them. Anyways, on with the show!

I talk about my impression of BattleBorn and why people hate

Today’s Episode

Games and gender, it’s a tricky subject. Everyone wants to feel like their character is an extension of themselves, but, that means developers have to spend time and resources to make that happen. For big developers, that’s not a problem. For indie developers, that’s time and money being used that could be used for other things. The simple answer is, you are not going to make everyone happy. Rust came under fire for deciding your gender for you. This is an interesting move. I would not have expected a developer to do this. It’s bold, against the norm and people hate it. It’s 2016 people! We hate everything. We get offended about the smallest offenses. It will be interesting to see what happens and if other developers will try this. I was a little upset, then, thought about it, and do not care.

There’s that issue and then there’s BattleBorn. It’s a great game. I am enjoying it. The gameplay is fast, and for the most part, balanced. Listen to my podcast to hear more about BattleBorn.

Gamer’s Cafe Firewatched the Aliens Come. Episode 7

Gamer‘s Cafe Firewatched the Aliens Come! Yes, Gamer’s Cafe is back! I took a week of because I was sick, but now I’ve come back and there’s so much to talk about! First, Call of Duty is confirmed for 2016, which is no big surprise. Assassin Creed though is not going to come out this year. In an interesting move, Ubisoft decided to take a step back and reassess the franchise. I think this is a good move because the game felt old and stale. I do wish Call of Duty would take the lead and that, but that’s not going to happen. Other news topics are:
